Dengan penghayatan dan Pengamalan Pancasila dimaksudkan agar dapat diwujudkan keluarga Pancasila yang berakhlak, bersikap dan memiliki tingkah laku berdasarkan Pancasila. Memiliki kesadaran dan pengamalan terhadap kehidupan beragama dan kepercayaan terhadap Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, mengembangkan sikap hormat menghormati sesama manusia dalam arti bersikap menjunjung tinggi harkat dan martabat manusia, mengutamakan kepentingan Nasional di atas kepentingan pribadi, mengembangkan sikap perbuatan dan suasana kegotongroyongan dan keke¬luargaan, kesetiaan kepada Negara dan Bangsa serta kewajiban mentaati peraturan-peraturan dan hukum yang berlaku.
Bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perbuatan yang luhur, yang mencerminkan sikap dan suasana kekeluargaan dan kegotongroyongan, sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi yang berlaku.
Dimaksudkan untuk menanamkan kesadaran betapa pen¬tingnya makanan sehari-hari untuk pertumbuhan dan kesehatan jasmaniah/rohaniah dalam membentuk keluarga yang sehat, cerdas dan kuat. Pentingnya makanan sehari-hari yang sehat, murah dan bergizi serta pengolahan makanan yang sesuai dengan kegunaannya. Halaman yang kosong perlu dimanfaatkan untuk ikut meningkatkan produksi pangan.
Bertujuan untuk memberikan pengertiam tentang fungsi dan cara berpakaian sesuai dengan kepribadian, usia dan situasi. Karena sandang merupakan kelengkapan hidup ma¬nusia, maka perlu selalu diusahakan adanya sandang dalam jumlah yang cukup, terpelihara dan sehat. Di samping itu perlu, ditanamkan pengetahuan tentang membuat pakaian, memilih bahan dan pola yang sesuai dengan kemampuan keluarga dan keadaan setempat.
Perumahan berfungsi sebagai tempat berteduh dan berlindung serta dapat memberikan rasa hidup tenteram, aman dan bahagia. Oleh karenanya harus selalu diusahakan perumahan yang memenuhi kesehatan, teratur lingkungan dan tata laksananya untuk meningkatkan mutu hidup. Dalam hubungan ini perlu ditanamkan pengertian tentang perbaikan perumahan sesuai dengan pola rumah sehat, murah serta mengatur dan merawat rumah dan halaman sebaik-baiknya.
Pendidikan sangat erat kaitannya dengan pembentukan manusia seutuhnya berdasarkan Pancasila dan meliputi pendidikan dalam lingkungan keluarga, seperti pengertian ten¬tang arti anak bagi keluarga, kewajiban orang tua terhadap anak, cara mendidik anak, merawat dan membimbing anak, pendidikan budi pekerti, agama dan persiapan anak-anak untuk mendapatkan pendidikan dasar, kejuruan atau ketrampilan maupun pendidikan non formal dan pendidikan seumur hidup. Dalam pendidikan dimaksudkan pula untuk mempersiapkan generasi penerus dengan sebaik-baiknya agar mereka itu dapat melaksanakan tugasnya di masa yang akan datang.
Kesehatan adalah syarat mutlak untuk kebahagiaan hidup karena itu perlu dihayati apa sehat itu dan bagaimana cara memelihara kesehatan itu, baik pribadi maupun keluarga, kepada kesehatan lingkungan.
Koperasi merupakan dasar dari pada Demokrasi Ekonomi, yang dikerjakan dari, oleh dan untuk masyarakat. Karenanya kesadaran kehidupan berkoperasi perlu dikembangkan di kalangan keluarga. Di samping itu perlu dipupuk dan dikembangkan kesempatan berusaha baik sebagai pribadi, keluarga maupun masya¬rakat, agar melalui usaha bersama berkembang pula kesem¬patan kerja di berbagai lapangan baik produksi maupun jasa.
Program ini sangat membantu dalam menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan secara ekologis. Menjaga kelestarian lingkungan menjadi faktor yang sangat penting dewasa ini. Banyak bencana alam yang disebabkan karena lingkungan yang rusak. PKK memberikan penyuluhan sederhana agar lingkungan tidak dirusak dan mencegah pencemaran sumber air, antara lain tidak membuang sampah di sungai atau selokan, serta melaksanakan pemberantasan sarang nyamuk dan penyuluhan – penyuluhan kesehatan lingkungan.
Rumah bukan sekedar tempat untuk berteduh saja. Rumah adalah tempat dimana keluarga dapat hidup bersama dan meningkatkan kualitas hidupnya, dalam lingkungan yang nyaman, damai, bersih dan apik. Orang perlu mengetahui bagaimana menata rumah sehat, menarik dan nyaman. Selain itu, perlu pula mengetahui bagaimana menjaga kebersihan rumah dan memanfaatkan pekarangan.
